Job description for new Electrical Lab Calibration Technician
Pylon Electronics Inc. is seeking an ambitious individual with skills and qualifications for a full-time position as a Senior Electronics Calibration Technician in support of the Ottawa Electrical Lab.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating equipment testing methods, reporting data on findings, and reviewing/improving processes and procedures. Strong communications skills and competent technical knowledge will allow you to interface with customers and co-workers to provide effective calibration solutions.
MINIMUM SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an Electronics or Electrical Technical Program
- Minimum of 3 years advanced electronics knowledge.
- Above average skills with MS Excel, and VBA.
- Programming experience such as METCAL, LabView, etc.
- Well organized and attentive to details
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Meticulous work habits
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED AN ASSET:
- Calibration skills/experience
- RF & Microwave experience
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
- Specific experience or training with Electronics measuring/sourcing equipment
