ABOUT US:

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the direction, management, and operation of Victoria’s corrections system, which incorporates prisons and Community Correctional Services. As a service agency within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria develops and implements policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Electronic Monitoring Services (EMS) is located at the State-wide Services Building at Ravenhall Correctional Centre and responsible for the electronic monitoring of offenders on parole orders, community corrections orders and subject to post-sentence supervision orders.
EMS provide stakeholders with real time alert response and information in relation to offenders’ movements and compliance with electronic monitoring and are responsible for training internal stakeholders in essential equipment, tools, and technology platforms.

Responsibilities:

The primary function of the Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer (EMCO) role is to monitor offenders’ compliance with electronic monitoring requirements, and administer all aspects of the electronic monitoring system, including response to system alerts in accordance with set protocols, management of electronic monitoring inventory and provide advice to a range of stakeholders. The EMCO works rostered shifts over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week.
The role is primarily based at the State-wide Services Building, Ravenhall, although some state-wide travel and overnight stays may be required. The Electronic Monitoring Compliance Officer works rostered shifts over a 24-hour period, 7 days per week.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Monitoring compliance with offenders’ electronic monitoring requirements and administer all aspects of the electronic monitoring system as required, including response to system alerts in accordance with set protocols.
  • Providing advice in the use of electronic monitoring equipment to a range of stakeholders.
  • Producing a range of Information Reports based on electronic monitoring data.
