Description:
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Familiarity with communication systems such as LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or similar.
- Knowledge of IoT and remote device communication frameworks.
- Experience with integrating sensors, motor controllers, and other hardware into embedded systems.
- Understanding of power management and optimization for low-power devices.
- Exposure to robotics, UAVs, or other remotely operated systems.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, Electronics and Communications or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded systems development, including hardware and firmware design.
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, PIC, or ARM Cortex) and embedded platforms.
- Proficiency in embedded programming (e.g., C, C++) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience in PCB design and layout using tools like Altium or Eagle.
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analysers).
Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
- As an Electronics Engineer - Embedded Systems, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded systems for a range of remotely operated devices.
- Your work will involve creating robust hardware solutions across a range of platforms and end effectors, integrating various communication protocols, and optimizing device performance.
- Experience in developing and implementing firmware is highly desirable.
- Experience with remote communication systems (WiFi, LoRaWAN) is highly desirable as you will work on enabling robust data transmission for remote applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embedded Systems Design and Development:
- Design, prototype, and implement embedded systems for remotely operated devices.
- Implement and maintain CAN-BUS network protocols to ensure seamless communication within the robotic system.
- Preferably develop and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and other components into embedded systems.
- Hardware Development and Optimization:
- Collaborate on hardware design, including circuit board layout and component selection.
- Optimize power management and electronic systems for reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct testing and debugging of hardware and firmware in laboratory and real-world conditions.
- Communication Systems Integration:
- Implement communication protocols for remotely operated such as LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi.
- Work on solutions for long-range, low-power, and reliable remote connectivity.
- Ensure seamless integration of communication modules with embedded systems.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed documentation for designs, code, and testing procedures.
- Ensure all work adheres to industry standards and safety regulations.
