THE WHAT…
We are looking for an Electronics Field Engineer to join our team!
The Electronics Field Engineer is responsible for performing surveys, installations, and servicing of bowling electronics products. The successful candidate will be training and supporting bowling centre personnel in the operation and maintenance of bowling electronics.
This role is based out of the Greater Toronto Area with frequent travel to bowling centres across Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Performs surveys and briefs customer on responsibilities of both parties for installation.
- Performs installation start-up and debugging of electronic scoring equipment.
- Performs computer network audits.
- Provides training to center personnel on maintenance of electronic scoring equipment.Performs service calls and phone support for equipment issues both in and out of warranty.
- Communicate customer’s expectations, understandings and product needs along with acceptance and interpretations of sales programs, products, service and training offerings as a direct liaison to Marketing, R&D, Sales Management, Service & Training.
- Stays current with all on-going technical publications on our various equipment in order to remain efficient in troubleshooting.
- Maintains exceptional communication with the customer to ensure that clear expectations are set and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Performs calibrations and tuning on equipment to ensure superior operation.Works with third party team members. Escalate any on-going issue in a timely manner to minimize customer down time.
- Works closely with the scheduler, sales team, and project manager, to ensure installation timelines are met.
- Follows all proper safety procedures and practices.
- Keeps clear documentation on all service calls, part returns and expenses, and submits reports as required by established practices.
- Maintains tools, parts and diagnostic equipment in a working and organized state and maintains a minimum stock of required on hand parts.
- Performs warranty, upgrades, field actions, preventative maintenance, installations, deliveries, billable or any other related services required by a client.
- Adheres to account protocols. Responsible for fault isolation and maintenance of equipment at account locations
- Promotes our business by recognizing opportunities to fulfill additional customer needs and communicating with the appropriate internal personnel for follow up.
- Provides post-sale in-servicing on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Follows all administrative duties, complete all necessary paperwork and track product support solutions, e.g., Repair
- Orders, Service Request Forms, Product Inquiries, Field Actions and Part Order Requisitions in a very accurate and timely manner.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of business equipment, service parts, tools. Conducts regular cycle counts and verify tool calibration.
