JOB SUMMARY:

The Electronics Technician shall provide operation and maintenance support for the P5CTS pods in accordance with the applicable documentation.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May be required to perform additional duties):

  • Maintain a log containing the serial number, pod type, date, time, and remarks for all P5CTS pods checked in and out of the P5CTS pod shop.
  • Maintain a daily status/availability log on all P5CTS pods.
  • Maintain a record of elapsed Time Meter readings on a monthly basis and determine each pod’s operational time for the month.
  • Operate and maintain the P5CTS Test Set in accordance with the applicable technical documentation.
  • Perform Organizational-Level (O-Level) and Intermediate-Level (I-Level) maintenance tests and replacement of the Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs) on the P5CTS pods.
  • Assist as required in the operation and maintenance of the display equipment
  • Perform duties of computer operations technician as required, which include the following:
  • Load programs for operation and test.
  • Perform subsystem test to assess operational readiness.
  • Load all pre-mission exercise data into the Data Recorder Device (DRD).
  • Maintain a control log of DRD issue to and receipt from aircrews.
  • Operate the graphics terminals during live exercises and assist with display and control operations.
  • Provide technical assistance to RSAF or aircrews in setting up for replay/debriefing.
  • Maintain and store records of mission tapes.
  • Maintain a mission event log with specific, concise, and pertinent data entered under the following headings: date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator.
  • Interface directly with the RSAF regarding mission sortie effectiveness.
  • Perform additional operations duties as directed by the Site Supervisor

KEY REQUIREMENTS (Skills, knowledge, qualifications and experience):
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Two (2) years college qualification in Technical related field; or equivalent technical education and military experience.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to comply with the company standard practice as it applies to field assignments.
  • Ability to adapt to a remote and/or a foreign environment
