Are you an Electronics Technologist that is looking to be a member of a hardware design team developing innovative avionics network communications systems?
For nearly thirty years, Edgewater Computer Systems, Inc. (Edgewater) has applied superior techniques in analysis, design, test, and verification to create and develop new and innovative technologies for military and commercial applications. Edgewater’s expertise in advanced, real-time, multi-channel data communications has led to remarkable advances in performance in both wireless and wired communications solutions while delivering affordable and rapidly deployable systems to both the military and commercial markets.
The successful candidate will work with our Hardware, Systems and Operations teams as they design, document, implement and test our next generation of E1553 products. They will enable our proprietary OFDM-based modem technology to increase the communication speeds of aircraft networks by orders of magnitude. Responsibilities include testing, diagnosis and troubleshooting of electronics assemblies, as well as creation of manufacturing drawings. The candidate will work with the Hardware Lead and other technical team members as a key member of the product development team.
Responsibilities:
- Prototyping to assist in the design of circuit boards to meet electrical and form-facto requirements
- Assist design engineers in various areas such as component selection, drawings, interfacing with suppliers, and test fixture builds.
- Perform post-manufacturing testing of CCA’s and assemblies
- Documentation such as test procedures and specifications
