Description:
Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Elixir Developer to work on a large-scale project for one of our customers.
The customer is a sports betting company based in South Africa. The company offers betting on horse racing, football/soccer, cricket, rugby, tennis, motorsport and more. It provides betting via its website, mobisite, call center, and USSD. The company’s team is disrupting the industry by pushing technological boundaries to create world-class online and retail betting solutions.
The project is the development and improvement of the betting platform.
Technology stack on the project: Erlang, Elixir, F#, Ruby, Olang, C#, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQL, RESTful API.
Responsibilities
- Designing fit for purpose solutions, algorithms and planning.
- Implementing a solution that is complete, efficient and compatible.
- Ensuring high usability factor and reliability of the solution.
- Ensuring effective security and maintainability of the solution.
- Testing, verification and deploying.
- Responding to outages and failures.
Requirements
- Experience with Elixir for 4+ years.
- RESTful API experience for 4+ years.
- SQL experience for 2+ years.
- Experience with functional languages.
- Experience with Kafka.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and mentorship skills.
- Detailed knowledge of the SDLC and management of software projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Level of English – Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field.
- Experience with RabbitMQ.
