We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Email Marketing Manager to join our team. Hillarys are part of Hunter Douglas, the global market leader for window furnishings, so as Email Marketing Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind centralising email marketing for 8 countries across the Hunter Douglas group located across continental Europe. This role is based in the UK and is hybrid, with 3 days based in our offices in Nottingham, and 2 days working from home.
The Email Marketing Manager will be responsible for collaborating closely with local marketing teams across eight European markets to enhance and centralize email marketing efforts. This role requires a hybrid skill set, combining campaign management, account management, and technical expertise. You’ll play a critical role in aligning and activating local marketing plans through effective email strategies, while driving consistency and efficiency in our processes and systems across the region.

Responsibilities:

AS OUR EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Partner with local marketing teams to understand their marketing plans, schedules, and priorities.
  • Create and manage email marketing schedules across the eight countries, ensuring timely and cohesive campaign execution.
  • Work closely with the UK email marketing team to generate creative ideas and content, while ensuring brand consistency across markets.
  • Utilise your technical understanding of email service providers (ESPs) and campaign management tools to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
  • Support content creation by writing copy and developing creative concepts that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Drive change and influence ways of working across entities, ensuring alignment with centralised strategies and processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, offering expert advice and influencing decisions to optimise email marketing performance.
  • Travel to our Rotterdam site once a month for 2-3 days to collaborate with local teams and drive initiatives.

INTERESTED IN THIS ROLE? HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably with a background in campaign management, account management, or email marketing.
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the gravitas to implement change across multi-national teams.
  • Experience working in an international company or multi-brand company is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ESPs such as Bloomreach or Cheetah is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in creative content generation and copywriting, with a keen eye for design and audience engagement.
  • Technical understanding of email marketing systems, tools, and best practices is desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different countries while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
This is a hybrid role with brilliant development opportunities, perfect for a passionate and experienced marketer who wants to use their knowledge and expertise to shape the future Email Marketing initiatives. You’ll have drive and assertion to achieve results, whilst being approachable with great communication skills to work with the wider team and business stakeholders.
You’ll receive many benefits, such as generous staff discount (including family and friends!), healthcare and lifestyle benefits packages, and a fantastic working environment.
We understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, and with this in mind, we are dedicated to providing an inclusive workplace where every colleague feels valued and comfortable to be their true self. If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please do let us know and we will be happy to accommodate.
The recruitment process for this role will include video screening, followed by interviews.
    Everyone will receive a response
