MultiTech is looking for an Embedded Engineer to join our team! This role will work on the definition, design, implementation and validation of embedded firmware running on microcontrollers. This role sits on an existing team who are responsible for taking a design all the way from concept and requirements gathering, to development, prototyping and testing, right through to mass production.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded products to customer requirements
- Contribute to team effort in designing/developing a complete product
- Design Firmware, Software modules, Test modules, and Analog/Digital Electronics
- Design and develop in compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards
- Evaluate systems by applying knowledge of embedded software engineering
- Identify and recommend product performance improvements
- Actively participate in system integration (Electronics, Mechanical, Software, App, Cloud)
- Collaborate closely with PCB layout design
- Provide support to other teams for product validation and production testers
- Prepare technical reports
- Properly use and maintain equipment, software licences, infrastructure and data bases
- Develop new skills by self training or attending courses as per project requirements
- Self-manage the scheduling of projects; attend weekly project meetings
- Establish test environments to isolate potential software/firmware issues
- Participate in design reviews
