  • The operations supervisor will also support the program manager by integrating the regional analysis component of the GSOC

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) Supervisor to join us in an embedded role within our Professional Services Client’s security team. You will direct a 24/7 team of analysts as part of a tight-knit operation providing actionable intelligence and advice to decision-makers, and support to the Client’s employees. Additionally, you will provide day-to-day operational oversight of GSOC tasks and team management.This role will act as the first point of escalation and ensure high-quality standards of all GSOC products and services.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday with occasional need to work on weekends and bank holidays. This role is primarily office-based, requiring to work a minimum of 3 days per week in the client’s central London office, with the potential to be more depending on client requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the GSOC’s day-to-day operations, including incident escalation, reviewing products to maintain high standards, and delivering reports in a timely manner
  • Line manage the GSOC team, in coordination with the embedded Program Manager. Identify knowledge gaps and deliver upskilling and training. Provide mentorship, manage reviews, and support the team’s professional development
  • Support with hiring GSOC operators when required, and develop and deliver induction and training plans for new joiners
  • Develop and deliver operations training and drills, such as on new SOPs and workflows, the use of tools and systems, and scenarios to continually test operators’ knowledge and responses
  • Quality assurance of incident alerts and a suite of analytical products that are timely, credible, and provide actionable insight to client stakeholders
  • Maintain, develop and implement SOPs in line with business needs and requirements
  • Manage scheduling to ensure the GSOC is fully staffed with limited lost hours
  • Maintain a good understanding of tools and platforms, ensuring the GSOC utilises these to full capacity. Conduct market research and analysis of tools and platforms
  • Coordinate with security verticals and managers to ensure effective liaison, communication and operational alignment, supported by an embedded Program Manager
  • Support the program manager by integrating the regional analysis component of the GSOC.
