Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Electronics and Software Manager, the Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of software for new and leading- edge products to the highest professional standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Product design and development
- Development of ancillary tools as required for testing, verification and support
- Writing and reviewing functional specifications and test plans and reports
- Technical support
- Adhere to internal standards and statutory and regulatory requirement
There are a few essential tools you will need under your belt to be successful in this role:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in firmware development using Embedded C/C++
- Experience in development of diagnostic software tools using C#
- Understanding of different Microcontroller platforms such as ST, Microchip etc
- Experience in designing and developing of low level peripheral drivers such as SPI, I2C UART etc.
- Experience in usage of Integrated Development Environments such as STM32 Cube IDE
- Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
- Understanding of RTOS
- Knowledge of source-control and Git.
- Understanding of industrial and internet communications protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP etc
- Operation of test and laboratory equipment for debugging and investigatio
