ABOUT THE ROLE

Carrier is seeking a highly motivated Embedded Software Engineer to participate on our global teams that develop Carrier’s embedded control products. These solutions require the coordination of the development of cloud, mobile app, and embedded controls technologies. This individual would be responsible for design and development of the firmware for various embedded products. The ideal candidate is excited by firmware development, new embedded technologies, and the IoT domain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing embedded software in support of Carrier’s embedded equipment controls.
• Developing embedded software in support of Carrier’s HVAC control systems.
• Working effectively with various engineering functions/disciplines; systems, hardware, validation/reliability and manufacturing.
• Writing special test software for hardware and validation/reliability engineering.
• Demonstrating the ability to work within a project team.
• Balancing the responsibilities of sustaining and new product development projects.
• Completing prototype and test software development.
• Participating in risk identification reviews.
• Writing specifications and test plans.
• Leading and participating in software inspections and design reviews.
• Completing systems integration and software requirements.
