As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will participate in the design, implementation, validation and deployment of the smartcard operating systems and applications embedded within electronic identity documents such as ePassports, eID, and healthcare documents.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficient in C/Java programming languages. Knowledge on Assembly, VB.Net is a plus.
  • 1st professional experience or internship within embedded software development area, with hands-on experience in compilers, simulators/emulators is preferred.
  • Knowledge on embedded technologies/ecosystem, software security, or JavaCard is a plus.
  • Autonomous and rigorous with good communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and deploy new software components (e.g., advanced software security mechanisms, biometric authentication and signature, hardware abstraction layer for new target chips) for embedded operating systems and applications.
  • Implement state of the art cryptographic protocols and security counter-measures, and contribute to product security certifications (Common Criteria, FIPS).
  • Perform maintenance on products, in-house, and third-party tools whenever required.
  • Protect the company’s IP and propose patents.
  • Contribute to continuous product and development methodology improvement.
  • Work within a project team with an agile approach to software development.
