Summary
We are looking for an “EMC System Engineer (f/m/d)” for the “EMC Laboratory” at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
“Electromagnetic compatibility is the ability of a device to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without causing unacceptable interference to other devices in that environment.” To ensure EMC, EMC measures must be incorporated into development right from the start. This includes analyzing requirements, defining the necessary EMC measures and planning appropriate tests.
In a versatile job as an EMC system engineer, you will advise the development department on EMC requirements, develop EMC measures with regard to circuit design, layout design, mechanical design as well as connector and cable selection and create the associated documentation such as EMC control and test plans.

Your Tasks

  • Conception of EMC plans for the respective products
  • Carrying out EMC analyses
  • Advising development projects on challenging EMC issues
  • Design of surge protection and EMC filters
  • Development and implementation of shielding and measurement reference potential concepts
  • Carrying out EMC tests on a component and sub-system basis
  • Carrying out measurements and interpreting the measurement results and then discussing the results with the project team
  • Documentation of measurements and results

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of engineering specializing in communications engineering, electrical engineering or comparable
  • Experience in development projects, particularly with regard to EMC
  • Experience in the field of EMC measurement technology and EMC standardization (MIL, DO, VG, AECTP)
  • Flexibility and quick comprehension
  • Structured, careful and independent way of working
  • High level of social competence and strong ability to work in a team
  • Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Confident manner in internal and external dealings
  • Good knowledge of German and English
