Morgan Stanley Equity Research is looking to hire an Associate, based in London. Morgan Stanley Investment Research is uniquely committed to being an essential part of our clients’ investment process. What will you be doing?

  • You will be preparing pre-results and post results updates on companies.
  • You will be building, developing, and maintaining comprehensive financial models.
  • You will be cultivating strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will be helping to write thematic sector and company research reports.
  • You will be speaking with clients and broking product ideas.
  • You will be generating value-added investment ideas for clients.
  • You will be performing value-add analysis and interpreting data on market and economic events to identify and describe trends.
  • You will be attending and reporting on corporate events, roadshows, company presentations and conferences.
  • You will be managing client requests and taking ownership of workflow.

QUALIFICATIONS

What we’re looking for:

  • You have a strong interest in the financial markets, with prior Equity Research, Financials, or Investment Banking experience desirable.
  • You have entrepreneurial spirit and are driven to deliver results.
  • You have superb communication skills and are a team player.
  • You are intellectually curious, focused and have excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • You have a keen research instinct and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • You are committed to excellence in your work, and you maintain high professional and ethical standards.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) Qualification, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or an Advanced Degree is preferable.

This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
