Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
We’re seeking an expert in cybersecurity with extensive experience in information security management and strategic oversight, particularly in a UK and EMEA context. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
- Cyber/Information Security Expertise: Skilled in security policy, governance, technologies, assessment, and validation techniques, with a deep understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls, cloud security, and disaster recovery.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft and Linux operating systems, AWS, IaaS, PaaS, and advanced security technologies.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven experience leading and influencing teams, with a focus on collaboration, integrity, and driving security as a business enabler.
- Business Acumen: Insightful in aligning security efforts with strategic business goals and understanding the Lockheed Martin ecosystem.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Effective communicator with a knack for simplifying complex security issues for diverse audiences; able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications Preferred: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent Information Assurance certifications
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, and ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance at DV Level.

Role Summary
As our EMEA Information Security Officer, you will be instrumental in maturing and strengthening our information security and privacy programs across regions, supporting Lockheed Martin’s commitment to secure, resilient systems. Reporting to the EO ISO, you’ll work closely with UK and EMEA stakeholders to manage system security engineering, accreditation, incident response, risk mitigation, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with Corporate Information Security, BA ISO/IT, and various Lockheed Martin teams to drive security initiatives that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Lead risk reduction efforts, develop robust security measures, and ensure effective risk controls within our European and regional IT environments.
- Security Operations: Oversee and support international incident responses and investigations, liaise with MoD, commercial clients, and secure necessary accreditations for UK networks.
- Awareness & Training: Drive a security awareness program across EMEA, ensuring a high standard of education on cybersecurity practices and technologies.
- Cross-functional Support: Support Enterprise and UK Data Protection Officers (DPO) with strategy and growth, enhancing business resilience while safeguarding our data.
