As the EMEA Logistics IT Systems & Process Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and unifying the IT application landscape for distribution centers across EMEA, ensuring smooth processes and driving innovation in warehouse management systems (WMS).
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Building a unified IT landscape for distribution centers across the EMEA region, collaborating with stakeholders to develop common processes and optimize logistics operations.
- Supporting SAP eWM implementations and other WMS projects in regional distribution centers, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with SAP standards during go-live and beyond.
- Collaborating with local SAP super users and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and IT capabilities, while coordinating the testing and training phases for smooth project rollouts.
- Acting as the key regional point of contact for SAP/S4 business users, providing second-level IT support and troubleshooting warehouse systems issues as the bridge between IT teams and on-site warehouse operations.
- Driving process improvements and system optimizations across SAP EWM/S4 and other logistics IT systems, leveraging synergies between warehouse operations and IT.
- Collaborating with the global D&T team and SAP IT, ensuring that all IT solutions and processes align with regional and global standards while supporting business continuity.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity and IT infrastructure standards coordinating with remote teams to address IT security gaps and other technical challenges.
- Implementing new technologies and innovations in automation and visualization, ensuring that these technologies are sustainably integrated and monitored for adherence to the established standards.
This is a dynamic and challenging role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of IT systems in logistics. You don’t need specific experience with SAP EWM, as we provide the chance to learn and grow.
- IT and logistics process knowledge: A solid foundation in IT systems, processes, and interfaces within a logistics or warehouse environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify inefficiencies, drive process improvements, and solve complex issues at the intersection of IT and logistics.
- Strong communication and leadership skills: You will work cross-functionally with IT teams, warehouse operators, and senior management, so clear, concise communication and leadership are crucial.
- A collaborative mindset: Proven experience in working with diverse teams and stakeholders to align business and IT goals.
- An interest in learning and innovation: We provide opportunities to learn SAP EWM and other logistics technologies, and we encourage a proactive approach to embracing new tools and ideas.
- Fluency in English: Knowledge of German or French is a plus.
- Technical expertise in logistics systems such as WMS, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity is preferred, but a strong desire to learn is key
