MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drive corporate strategic planning: Partner closely with the EMEA Leadership Team and business stakeholders to own components of NB’s multi-year strategy and goal creation efforts.
  • Manage a portfolio of the company’s most critical strategic initiatives: Prioritise projects based on the organisation’s strategic goals and our available resources.
  • Reporting and delivery: Establish and maintain reports for the leadership team which provide important context for in-flight and upcoming projects. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope; proactively anticipate bottlenecks and escalate delays to senior management as needed.
  • Generate opportunity assessments on key strategic topics: Lead analysis, including ROI assessment of key initiatives, providing actionable recommendations based on your analysis.
  • Develop and nurture senior level relationships across functions: Become a trusted source for strategic support for the purpose of creating strategies and completing plans.
  • Pivot as needed: Adapt to rapidly changing plans to address unanticipated challenges and complexity in the business.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • MBA qualification preferred with relevant number of years of experience (post-MBA) in one of the following fields: internal strategy, consulting, account management, business development.
  • Experience developing cases with both quantitative and qualitative elements.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable analysing large data sets to drive deep insights, actionable takeaways, and improvements.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; professional and confident with an ability to work with all levels of the organisation, especially senior level leaders.
  • Experience managing complex programs (defining requirements, facilitating progress and mitigating risks/blockers) that involve leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, including improvements to existing concepts, and the creation of new innovative ideas.
  • Experience in the footwear/apparel/sports industries, digital commerce, or retail is a plus but not required.
  • Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignments without direct supervision.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple priorities to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines
