EY’s UK Financial Services Tax Technology and Transformation (TTT) business is a rapidly growing team of technology, data science, business transformation and tax professionals that help financial services organisations to redefine their tax operations and functions, driving transformation for the digital age.
Based primarily within our London office in the UK but with strong connectivity across EMEIA, the TTT teams focus on assisting clients with tax technology and transformation programmes to deliver both efficiency and effectiveness in the rapidly changing compliance environment.
We work with a variety of organisations across the FS sector and across all geographies. The business has been growing rapidly year on year and in order to seize the opportunities available in the market, the team requires new talent.
A key focus of our Tax Transformation team is working with our 3rd party tax technology alliance partners in supporting clients currently assessing indirect tax technology options on the market to meet their indirect tax obligations e.g. tax determination, e-invoicing and compliance.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Direct resource to support Partners in building the sales pipeline for EY and 3rd party tax technology implementations across the spectrum outlined above
- Go to market experience – developing and driving indirect tax technology propositions
- Consulting background preferable - used to interacting with clients and working on large-scale projects
- Solid generalist VAT/Tax background e.g. compliance and process automation
- Experience around ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MSFT Dynamics, or other ERP systems), tax technology, data and processes
- Experience in managing large-scale global projects
- Proven high quality delivery
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Experience developing, tailoring, and implementing tax technologies to meet client specific needs
- Ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
- Self-starter, good time manager and able to deal with complexity and competing priorities
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communicator and client relationship experience that is able to build rapport quickly
- Team player
- Management experience
- Strong experience in presenting both internally and externally in different environments to various audience sizes.

Responsibilities:
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to winning new work by supporting the business development and sales cycle efforts, working alongside VAT/Tax client relationship owners and where relevant 3rd party alliance partners
- Key member of the EY FS Tax Technology and Transformation team, supporting the acquisition of high-quality VAT technology projects and advice to our clients based on experience and best practice
- Build relationships both within the firm across a variety of internal teams (wider IDT, TTT and Global Product, Legal, Marketing etc.)
- Take the lead in discussions with senior EY and client stakeholders
- Participate in client pitches, presentations, and proposal development
- Develop strong relationships with alliance partners and clients, identifying opportunities to build the sales pipeline for EY and growing your network
- Support the development of new propositions, including liaising with our IT resources on the creation of new tax technology solutions and/or connecters to 3rd party products.
- Build and maintain key relationships with clients to grow the account and footprint of tax services whilst supporting high levels of client service
- Exploration, development, and go-to-market planning with new 3rd party alliance partners that have no established business with EY or have under-represented potential. This involves prospecting new alliance partners, developing the opportunity and working across internal and external teams to bring the opportunity to market
- Leading complex, large scale tax technology projects and support the integration of EY and 3rd party solutions into business processes
- Ensure seamless implementation of technology solutions with client systems
Understand the landscape of global tax solutions and be able to identify the solution that would meet the client specific requirements
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE
- Experience with 3rd party tax technology offerings
- Experience building GTM materials and sales pipeline
- Experience with the tax functionality in major ERP systems
- Ideally experience of working for a consultancy business (Big 4 or other)
