Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Paediatric Emergency department team. in this dynamic and busy department, as we continue to develop patient led services and expand roles that reflect the on-going changes in Emergency healthcare.
We would welcome applications from candidates who have completed their NVQ level 2 and 3 in health care, including experience within a paediatric health care setting ideally Hospital setting .
The Emergency Care Technician role involves working closely with the nursing team to develop patient centered services and carry out all basic healthcare duties. This role also provides you with an excellent opportunity to use and develop your existing skills.
You will be expected to provide safe and effective care to our paediatric patients, and to have a great knowledge around safeguarding procedures, and how to complete referrals. You will be responsible for escalating concerns around sick patients and working closely and under supervision with the nursing team and medical DRs. You will carry out patient observations, ECGs, plastering and general care needs.
This position is to provide cover during the hours of 7am until 19:30 and 19:00 to 07:30 - 365 days a year, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
