Description:
ARE YOU A CARING INDIVIDUAL WHO WANTS TO BE A PART OF AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE IN YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY?
Progress Lifeline are looking to hire more Emergency Home Responders to join our expanding team. We are a 24-hour home response service which helps older, disabled and vulnerable people who have fallen or had an emergency at home. We also attend to people who have fallen on the behalf of the Ambulance Service in Lancashire.
As an Emergency Home Responder, you will work from home. You will be on call for a 12h shift that covers 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This role involves working Weekends and Bank Holidays.
Once called out you will attend the incident to assess and establish the nature of the emergency and provide the necessary support for the customer. At all times you must offer reassurance and make our customers as comfortable as possible.
During day shifts you will also be expected to attend Independent Living Schemes throughout the Greater Manchester area to confirm that residents are safe and well.
We are looking for caring people who can keep a calm head in an emergency to join our team on a fixed rota. We are currently recruiting for both day and night shifts.
Day Shift - On Call between 06:00 – 18:00. 4 shifts on and 8 shifts off
Night Shift – On call between 18:00 and 06:00. 4 shifts on and 8 shifts off.
Please specify in your application whether you are applying for day or night shifts.
Full training will be provided: This will include First Aid and dealing with emergency situations as well as the moving and handing of customers who have fallen. How to perform risk assessments, carry out welfare visits and when required lift customers using specialist lifting equipment.
Due to timed attendance targets it is essential that you live in the Greater Manchester area and have access to your own vehicle.
Our teams are made up of a variety of people with different backgrounds and previous experience. Previous experience isn’t essential for the role as training will be given to enable you to become valuable member of our team and provide support to the emergency services.
