DETAILS
- Department: Critical Care Transport
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Full-time, Rotating shifts, Monday - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent
- Location: Indianapolis, IN
REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required:
- Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities:
Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
- Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action.
- Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury.
- Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to Registered Nurse (RN).
- Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
