Description:

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Emergency Crew Manager or Official Designate, the Emergency Technician is responsible for supporting and performing restoration within emergency claims. Impeccable documentation and communication habits are a must for this position. Efficient and accurate information for all materially invested parties. Emergency Technician will ensure completion of various emergency projects that are caused by fire, smoke, wind, water, mold, asbestos, etc. They will work in conjunction with property owners, adjusters, insurance companies, and/or property management companies and ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employee must demonstrate excellent phone manners towards employees, customers, adjusters, sub-trades, and partners, as well as ensure all communication methods are conducted in a respectful and professional manner
  • Employee must be professionally attired at all times, specifically in business casual or business attire, especially when representing the company
  • Whenever possible, wear corporate clothing and must be wearing casual or dress slacks or jeans without rips or tears
  • Employees are encouraged to carry a briefcase or similar item to carry all computers, phones, pens, pencils, camera, etc. when attending client or professional company meetings
  • As an emergency response team, the hours are as needed. Employees are required to be accessible for the on-call schedule
  • It is understood that all team members will follow directions according to the situation in the event of a CAT while at the same time continuing their regular duties to the best of their abilities. Ensure to follow up with a report on your regular duties and the CAT assigned duties with their progress status
  • Employees are required to adhere to all company policies, procedures, and systems as amended from time to time. Leaders are to lead by example
  • Demonstrates a positive image of the company to all employees and clients
  • Whenever possible use talk-to-text notes in Complete DRS for communication and documentation purposes
  • Maintaining and updating computer and program skills as per company training offerings or as required for efficiency, knowledge, and role responsibilities
  • Develop a trusting relationship with adjusters and clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
  • Locate new sources of business and work to encourage referrals to the company
  • Ensure all concerns are responded to and documented quickly with accurate answers to ensure continued satisfaction. This may include but is not limited to; relating to KPIs, COGS, scheduling, project progress, the status of permits, change orders, etc.
  • Promoting and networking tasks as assigned to support building company relations and leads in the industry and community
  • Provide a weekly report to the President and Operations Manager (or their delegates) for all missed KPIs (what was our KPI, what did we meet, which ones did we not meet, and why?). This will be used to proactively improve and mitigate so this doesn’t happen again
  • Provide any other request reports as needed to the President and Operations Manager (or their delegates) in a timely manner
  • Maintaining and updating as per company training offering as required to effectively and efficiently perform the role
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the President or their delegate
