The Emerging Talent assistant manager enables the building of skills, capabilities and behaviours across the business through supporting the co-ordination, management and delivery of our emerging talent development programmes. Works with internal and external learning providers to deliver the required learning interventions across the business.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and recording programmes on learning management system (LMS), Oracle Learn, within appropriate budget.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the highest standard of learning and learning needs are met.
  • Championing the delivery of development interventions for the business by liaising with external providers and internal facilitators.
  • Organising and co-hosting regular external development events.
  • Organising and holding regular supplier review calls
  • Analysing existing procedures and processes to ensure maximum efficiency as well as compliance with Industry requirements.
  • Producing reports on impact, learning engagement , attendance and other programme KPI’s as required.
  • Developing working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Answering colleague enquiries through our internal HR case management system and adhering to the service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensuring effective delivery, reporting and communicating of all development activities across business.
  • Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

  • Confident using Microsoft suite such as Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience of using an LMS.
  • Learning & development co-ordination – ideally in the early talent arena.
  • CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) – desired but not essential .
  • Knowledge of relevant industry bodies and requirements.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management and co-ordination.
  • Continuous improvement.
  • Influencing.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstratable history of pursuing a better way and being curious, seeking to make improvements in the workplace.
  • Minimum GCSE grade C English and Maths (or equivalent).

You’ll also have:

  • Understanding of learning & development design and delivery.
  • Good analytical skills with reference to reporting.
  • Understanding of levy funding and CITB grants.
  • Understanding of different types of learning e.g. virtual, digital learning.
  • Learning & development, HR or health & safety qualification or certification (function dependant) (or equivalent).
  • Experience of booking courses, workshops.
  • Experience of working in learning & development.
