We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Government Relations Officer (GRO) to handle all government-related tasks in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain branches.
The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of the UAE labor laws, and legal compliance, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with government authorities to ensure smooth operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for handling and facilitating all transactions with government and semi-government bodies, free zone authorities, and public and private sector organisations.
• Establish and manage relationships with the government authorities to ensure all transactions are processed on time.
• Collect and provide periodical updates from the government authorities on Labour and Immigration regulations to keep the HR/Admin departments well-informed of the changes on time.
• Submit, follow-up, and collect new employment and business visas to ensure that the permits are processed on time.
• Renew, update, and maintain all employees and their dependents’ visas, Labour cards, and Labour contracts on time to ensure that records are up-to-date in the Labour and Immigration Departments.
• Ensure all commercial and trade License updates, official approvals and permits, and followed up correctly to avoid unnecessary violations.
• Update employees’ records in the HRIS.
• Process documents such as attestation of rent contracts in government offices such as Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Economic, Ministry of Finance, Customs, Court, Traffic Department, and Municipality.
• Represent the Company at the Police Station, Court, Airport, Embassies, Ministries/Municipalities and other authorities such as mobile and landline phone services.
• Deal with PRO inquiries efficiently to enhance the service level of the department.
• Renew, update, and maintain the trade licenses and other government certificates related to Taqeef’s legal entities in the UAE.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical Diploma
• 8 + years of experience in public relations function in the UAE.
• Basic understanding of human resources functions.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE labour law.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English and Arabic is a must.
