Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic communications professional to join our team as an Employee Communications Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders to create and implement communication strategies that enhance employee understanding of key business initiatives and align their actions with company goals. You will be responsible for planning, drafting, delivering, and measuring internal communications. Additionally, you will leverage the latest research, technology, and tools to effectively engage our workforce and support our organizational objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support targeted employee communication initiatives from concept through to execution and detailed production, using a structured communication planning approach to ensure objectives and outcomes are clearly defined and met
  • Build and drive content, including sourcing/ writing/ editing for internal use, to ensure content is specific to intended audience groups
  • Provide assistance and prepare materials for leaders when rolling out new employee programs, change communications, and other key internal initiatives
  • Develop communication plans and key messages to support business objectives with a variety of tactics to increase employee understanding and engagement about how their actions support business goals
  • Act as a resource to the internal video communications team and business leaders to support production of videos showcasing employees and projects
  • Support audience-specific presentations for communications to employees
  • Draft meeting agendas, build quality presentation decks, facilitate dry-runs and repurpose content across other communication channels of the enterprise
  • Partner with the Employee Communications manager to collect feedback from internal clients to measure the effectiveness of communications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications position is required
  • Demonstrated ability in developing communications plans and implementing tactics to drive business objectives and support company culture
  • Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to deliver professional, engaging, and impactful messages through a variety of media
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and build relationships with leaders both in person and virtually
  • Self-directed, strong planning, organizational and detail-oriented skillset, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Capable of understanding and communicating actions needed to support Ledcor’s business in a meaningful way
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and an aptitude for learning new applications; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Collaborates, works well within teams and is solution-oriented
