JOB DESCRIPTION

This a fantatsic role to join this forward thinking and evolving team to make an impact on a global level.
You will be the Employee Cross-border Tax Programs & Immigration Lead at JP Morgan with Human Resource’s People Movement team, which includes Global Mobility relocations & assignments, merger & acquisitions, and cross border tax programs. We are seeking a senior leader to manage and drive forward the global Employee Cross-border Tax Programs across the firm. This role will report into the Head of People Movement.
The Employee Cross-border Tax Program team manages global initiatives to enhance the firm’s tax and immigration compliance, reporting and withholding for employees who travel on behalf of the firm, while also looking to provide a seamless employee experience. The business travel tax programs currently cover over 24,000 employees, requiring tax support across US states and key international travel lanes.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive delivery, policy, strategy and overall program design
  • Ensure first class delivery of the programs
  • Be data driven: specifying and reviewing end-to-end data and metrics to manage and run delivery
  • Review end to end processes, driving change and innovation
  • Have a passion for continuous improvement, particularly digital enhancements, collaborating with tax advisers and other key internal and external partners
  • Work with tax specialists to continuously monitor key tax and immigration risk, including global liability analysis
  • Be Human Resource’s senior point of contact for cross border tax and immigration queries
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Enjoy complex program solving
  • Be focused on optimizing customer experiences
  • Collaborate with the change management team regarding training/learning material development and delivery
  • Effective at building and maintaining relationships with clients at all levels
  • Have flexibility, multi-tasking ability and strong influential skills, to ensure services and deadlines are met by others involved in the decisions and program management
  • Manage a global team located across: US (Tampa & Dallas), London, Singapore, Warsaw and Mumbai
  • Oversee the operations team to meet deliverables for payroll processing/tax return filing
  • Be a strong vendor manager and partner capable of overseeing large contracts with tax and immigration service providers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Significant employee tax and immigration expertise. Ideally, with experience:
  • Implementing and running cross border tax programs
  • Working with HR operations, tax and payroll functions
  • Developing digital/ product solutions
  • Strong technology & digital skills, with process improvement mindset
  • Strong data, analytical and organizational skills with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues timely
  • Strong track record of challenging the status-quo, reengineering and implementing alternative efficient approaches
  • Excellent judgment and track record dealing with broad range of customers and stakeholders
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, agile environment with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent partnership, interpersonal, written/ verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of international compensation, payroll and tax preferable
  • University degree
  • Accounting qualifications preferable
