Description:

As a children’s aid organization based in Oberhausen/Dinslaken, we have been bringing sick and injured children from war and crisis zones to Germany for medical treatment since 1967. Here they are cared for in nationwide cooperating hospitals or in the medical center in the Peace Village. After their rehabilitation in our Oberhausen home, the children return to their families. This concept is unique worldwide.
The 2 to 12 year old patients are housed in different residential groups in our home. Children from different nations from Africa and (Central) Asia live together there at times to get healthy together. In this way, different cultures, languages and religions come together every day in the “village”. For visitors to the Peace Village, it is often astonishing to see how easily the children communicate with each other, play together, help each other and make friends despite all their differences. Although the young patients have often suffered serious illnesses or injuries and are thousands of kilometers away from their family and home, their joy of life is undiminished.
For our residential area, we are now looking for committed employees for the night shift who would like to support our humanitarian aid for the children of the world.
