Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

With an overarching goal to provide professional, comprehensive, business focused and timely Employee Relations advice to key stakeholders in the business, both ER Consultant and Senior Consultant at Carnival UK take ownership over a high volume of complex caseloads, and support and coach managers, both within the shore-based and fleet teams, balancing risk to the business with proposed solutions.

Both roles will:

  • Provide expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practice to ensure compliance and fairness
  • Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues, including disputes, grievances and disciplinary matters
  • Require a creative thinker and problem solver who is comfortable and effective at negotiating and influencing and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to quickly build rapport and profile within the business as a trusted ER expert

In addition, the Senior ER Consultant role includes:

  • Line management responsibilities over the ER Senior Advisor and Executive
  • Leading and overseeing employee relations strategies to enhance workplace harmony and productivity
  • Support to the ER Manager in supporting the continuous improvement of the team, applying relevant learnings, and ad-hoc projects

The Senior ER Consultant will need:

  • To be comfortable driving improvement activities and delivering change across multiple stakeholders
  • CIPD Level 7 qualified or comprehensive ER experience
  • People Management experience as an advantage

The ER Consultant role will need:

  • A sound, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or comprehensive ER experience

Our Senior ER Consultant is positioned at a CUK08 and the ER Consultant a CUK09 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
