As a lead employee relations investigator on our Centralized Human Resources Team, you’ll partner with leadership and other Progressive professionals to investigate and resolve complex employee relation issues, promote diversity of thought, create an inclusive work environment, and mitigate risk for the organization. In addition to conducting investigations, you’ll also be responsible for providing guidance and coaching to lower-level employee relations consultants. This is an opportunity to work with a strong team focused on building relationships at all levels in the organization and collaborating to continue to make Progressive a great place to work. This position is open to remote work; location is flexible with ability to travel occasionally, as needed.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of eight years related work experience in Human Resources or business operations that includes leading people or cross functional teams.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of five years related work experience in Human Resources or business operations that includes leading people or cross functional teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Five years of Human Resources and/or Progressive leadership experience, that includes experience conducting complex and highly sensitive employee relations investigations (up to and including senior management personnel)
  • Ability to digest complex information/material (practices, procedures, processes) associated with all business areas within the company to accurately resolve investigative requests
  • Ability to think creatively and implement solutions to gather information and problem solve
  • Advanced communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills including experience conducting difficult conversations, presenting investigative findings, and recommendations to a broad audience including the ability to provide input to senior leadership to reach resolution
