KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Specialist workplace relations and policy advice to HR Team and Site
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on diverse employee relation issues
  • Investigate and gather information on cases relating to workplace grievances, disputes, breaches, misconduct and other related issues
  • Support the preparation of submission and advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals or courts
  • Foster effective consultative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with site, HR team and leaders to contribute to formal and informal dispute resolution
  • Annual / cyclical activity support
  • Compliance & EA/Award wages checks
  • Support the process of enterprise bargaining
  • Policy creation and review
  • Implementation of IR Strategy

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A tertiary qualification or significant professional working experience in a senior IR/ER role, preferably within the mining and/or resources sector.
  • Exceptional communicator with demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to analyse data to determine performance and action.
  • Ability to influence and drive change.
  • Proven ability to apply knowledge of employment legislation, awards and agreements, policies and best practice.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects.
  • 6 years or more experience desirable

Responsibilities:

As the Employee Relations Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace environment by providing expert guidance on employee relations and industrial relations matters across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be a key advisor to the HR team and site management, offering specialised workplace relations and policy advice to ensure compliance and effective resolution of employee-related issues
