VPI is a Service Provider for Employment Ontario, which is funded by the Ontario Government to support jobseekers and employers. VPI has been delivering employment programs for more than 30 years. We are based in Mississauga and have 17 branches across Southern Ontario. We are looking for a Permanent Full-time, Employer Liaison, Employment Services to work for our Richmond Hill branch.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with employers.
- Experience in job development, employer outreach, employment counselling and/or recruitment considered an asset.
- Understanding of labour market information and trends.
- Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to promote the value of job seekers from diverse backgrounds to employers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work and co-operate in a team.
- Proficient in using technology and software applications for documentation and data management.
- Ability to meet monthly and yearly targets, working collaboratively with all departments.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing priorities and business demands.
- Ability to empathize with job seekers and provide support and guidance.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexible approach to problem solves and willingness to adjust strategies based on feedback and new information.
