THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Investigations, the Employer Regulation Consultant is part of a team who possess a broad diversity of skills and experience and have a strong focus on values and cultural alignment. The role assists in the improvement of return to work outcomes through enforcement of employer obligations under the ReturnToWork Act 2014, whilst raising ReturnToWorkSA’s presence as a regulator.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / CONDITIONS

• Some intra state travel and out of hours work may be required in the conduct of regulatory investigations.
• On occasion there may be a requirement to work outside of ordinary hours.

• Applying legislation and relevant case law to ensure legislative compliance with claims and employment obligations through face-to-face and desk-based interventions
• Proactively identifying potential non-compliances through intelligence gathering and trend analysis
• Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to influence injured worker retention and return to work
• Developing a strong marketplace presence and awareness of Enforcement activities with a view to maintaining relationships and encouraging referrals
• Where non-compliant behaviour is identified, enable evidence-based decisions to support the successful imposition of appropriate regulatory actions which may include supplementary payments pursuant to the Remissions and Supplementary Payments Scheme
