Discover an exciting opportunity at CPA Ontario as an Employer Relations Officer. You’ll play a pivotal role in evaluating student experience reports, forging strategic partnerships for innovative training programs, and overseeing a diverse portfolio of employers dedicated to shaping the next generation of CPAs. You will also lead transformative projects on a provincial and national scale, driving the future of Canada’s accounting profession.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assessing CPA students’ practical experience reports against established criteria, ensuring compliance and offering constructive feedback. Facilitating impactful advisement sessions as required to guide students toward their professional goals.
Building and maintaining relationships with employers ensuring a mutually beneficial training experience for students and organizations. Proactively resolving any training issues to optimize learning and development outcomes.
Collaborating with employer organizations to establish and set up pre-approved CPA student training programs.
Monitoring and enhancing pre-approved CPA student training programs to maintain rigorous standards and ensure continual compliance. Taking proactive steps to guide employers towards optimizing program effectiveness and fostering student success.
Championing and executing projects at provincial and national levels to drive innovation and impact.
Who You Are:
An experienced CPA leader, post-secondary graduate and CPA member with over 3 years of impactful experience in both public accounting and corporate environments that is well-versed in practical experience standards and adept at utilizing PERT to ensure accurate documentation.
A dynamic communicator and relationship builder with exceptional verbal and written skills, capable of fostering relationships and delivering compelling presentations that is known for providing excellent customer service and negotiating win-win solutions.
Digitally fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, leveraging these tools to streamline operations and enhance project outcomes that is enabled by your critical thinking, sharp judgement abilities and an exceptional eye for details.
Extremely organized and efficient, demonstrating a proven ability to plan, multitask, and execute projects with demanding timelines that is equally comfortable working independently or collaboratively within a team setting.
