ABM College is currently looking for a highly competent, energetic, and exceptionally motivated Employment Counsellor

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Social Work, Marketing, Psychology, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as an Employment Counsellor, preferably in a college setting.
  • Strong marketing and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in building employer relationships and securing employment opportunities for clients.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
    Work Location: In person
    Expected start date: 2024-09-0

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate practicum placements for students and alumni, ensuring alignment with their career goals and interests.
  • Design, implement, and manage professional development initiatives for students and alumni, such as job search strategies, résumé writing (individual or group settings), interview preparation, and more.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with community groups, agencies, businesses, industries, and other organizations as potential employers.
  • Gather and analyze labor market information to provide insights on job opportunities, skill requirements, and occupational trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of alumni employment, supporting their career progression.
  • Perform general recruitment and administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the team.
