Description:

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • College Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERENCE

  • 4 years of Administrative or related experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES (INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION, FINANCIAL, MANAGERIAL, PROBLEM SOLVING):

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within the employment services sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including dealing with clients, subcontractors and all levels of Serco staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with database management systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous and rapidly changing priorities, and work to agreed-upon schedules.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

The Employment Services Administrator plays a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth operation of our employment services department. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around heavy administration tasks related to collecting and managing information from workers participating in our employment services program and ensuring seamless coordination of employment-related financial supports for both job seekers and businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Book intake appointments that come through web-based, email and partner referrals
  • Collect and receive detailed information from workers participating in employment services, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain thorough records of worker activities and progress throughout their engagement with our employment services, including a 12-month post-service period.
  • Review, approve, and reconcile financial supports utilized by job seekers and businesses, adhering to established guidelines and policies.
  • Support various administrative functions across different areas within the employment services department, including data entry, filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Other related duties relevant to this position as may be required
  • Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the operations including occupational health and safety, environmental, drug and alcohol, and quality.
  • This is a “term” position. Your employment will commence upon completion of background checks and the agreed upon start date. The position is anticipated to last for a term of six (3) months with the possibility of becoming permanent.
    Part Time- Evenings and Weekends (Tues-Fri and Saturdays)
