A distinguished Legal 500 firm in Reading, Berkshire, is seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join its expanding Employment team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor to manage a diverse caseload and contribute to the firm’s business development initiatives. There will also be Partnership prospects for those seeking this level of career.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 8 years PQE in Employment Law, with experience from a reputable London or regional firm recognised for its employment practice
- Proven ability to handle both contentious and non-contentious employment issues effectively
- Strong interest in marketing and business development, with a proactive approach to client engagement
Responsibilities:
- Manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for both corporate clients and private individuals
- Advise on settlement agreements, employment contracts, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy processes and employment tribunal claims
- Provide corporate support, including due diligence and advising on employment aspects of business transactions
- Engage in business development activities, such as conducting seminars, leading training workshops, attending networking events and contributing articles to the firm’s monthly eBulletin
