As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Employment Specialist will be responsible for assisting individuals with finding and securing employment opportunities. This role involves assessing client needs, developing career plans, providing job readiness training, and supporting job placement. The Employment Specialist will work closely with clients to guide them through the job search process, providing resources, job leads, and advice on resume writing, interviewing, and other essential skills.

Responsibilities:

Conduct one-on-one assessments to determine client employment goals, skills, and qualifications.
Provide job search support, including resume writing, interview coaching, and job application assistance.
Develop personalized career development plans and offer ongoing career counseling.
Identify job leads and match clients with appropriate job opportunities.
Network with employers to create new job placement opportunities and build strong employer relationships.
Monitor clients’ progress and provide post-placement support to ensure job retention and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, job placements, and outcomes.
Stay up-to-date on labor market trends, employer needs, and local employment opportunities.
Collaborate with community partners, training programs, and workforce development agencies to connect clients to additional resources.
Provide research support on files for Vocational Rehabilitation Practitioners.
Locate resources such as computer software, mobility aids, or community support.
Identify vocational training opportunities.
Keep database up to date with case notes, new referrals, and troubleshoot solutions when necessary.
Assess clients’ current computer skills and facilitate training. Report on findings and progress.
Manage incoming mail/faxes/emails.
Manage physical files
Conduct light office cleaning
Manage Bravework social media accounts including Instagram and LinkedIn and Webpage. This includes creating content, updating information and files, and keeping website up to date with services and information.
Keep informed of advancements in vocational rehabilitation.
