OVERVIEW:
We are currently seeking a Yard Operator to join our team at Ballycoolin.
As a Yard Operator you will be responsible for general yard operations, whilst ensuring the highest level of safety and housekeeping standards are adhered to.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU…
- Experience in Process or Manufacturing Industries an advantage
- Experience in Laboratory testing of materials an advantage
- Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of work.
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Show commitment and a positive attitude to work.
- Good verbal and written English due to nature of the role
- Good interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and promote the highest level of safety standards whilst carrying out daily Health & Safety and Environmental Inspections.
- Loading of bitumen emulsion from storage tanks into road tankers
- Undertake Weighbridge duties, including but not limited to processing dockets.
- Operate Telehandler to load and unload materials.
- Drive Shunter truck to move road tankers in yard.
- General labourer duties and the operation of power hand tools i.e., grinder, drill & reciprocating saws.
- Adhere to and promote the highest level of safety standards whilst carry out daily Health & Safety and Environmental Inspections
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in the plant and yard.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as necessitated by your function.
- Be flexible to meet business needs when required
