Endpoint Security Engineer (Operations)

We are seeking Platform Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 1.5 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology
  • At least 1 years of experience with AWS
  • At least 1 years of experience with mixed operating system environments (Mac, Microsoft, Linux)
  • At least 1 years of experience with endpoint security deployments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 1+ years of experience with configuration & incident management
  • 1+ years experience in one of the following security tools (EDR, DLP, NXLOG, OSQery, Sysmon)
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, EC2 instances, Lambda functions, RDS or Route53
  • Experience supporting/deploying endpoint security tools (EDR, Encryption, Behavior Analysis, Hunt & Response)
  • Experience with programming or scripting languages (Python or Go)
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in large distributed teams

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
