Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You create long-term electricity price forecasts for our focus countries
- Your energy drives you to constantly develop and enhance our pricing model
- With a critical eye, you analyse the factors influencing electricity prices and recognise how technological, regulatory and political changes affect the international energy markets
- You will become a valuable source of information for our top management and various business areas, making you a valuable piece of the puzzle in the energy transition
- Your skills will help us to evaluate business models, technologies and products and to make informed decisions
- You will also help us to exploit the potential of artificial intelligence in our daily work, further develop our database structures and the model dashboard for inputs and outputs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- A university degree in technology, economics or natural sciences is your springboard
- You are adept at juggling data and quickly recognise complex relationships – data analysis and data science are your passion!
- You have extensive expertise in the application of quantitative methods and have the appropriate tools in your toolbox (clear focus on Python, R experience also an advantage)
- Your IT skills in databases (SQL), source code management (Git), dashboards (e.g. PowerBI, Streamlit, Plotly Dash), generative AI and cloud computing (Azure) are a major plus for us
- You are not afraid of complex optimisation problems and modelling different technologies such as storage systems, heat pumps, wind and PV generation
- You inspire with your flair for graphically attractive presentations of results and your strong communication skills in German and English
