Ameresco has an immediate opening for an Energy Data Analyst.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide data entry and data analysis services
- Ability to extract data from multiple sources and utilize existing data management processes/systems
- Identify data errors and remove or clean-up data issues
- Identify gaps and source missing data
- Ability to organize data into usable formats
- Perform quality assurance reviewing data for anomalies/issues
- Thorough understanding and experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Preparation of reports and ability to identify data trends/patterns
- Provide software technical support to clients with a professional and courteous manner
- Test new functions and features before software is released
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience with database administration, data management, data analysis, software implementation and technical support. Familiarity with energy data (interval and monthly utility bill data) an asset.
Additional Qualifications:
- Certificate in Business Intelligence – Data Analysis and Reporting
- Understanding of utility bills / utility billing data
- Prior experience using Portfolio Manager Software
- Prior experience performing weather normalization using linear regression
- Experience with Microsoft office and expertise with Microsoft access and Microsoft excel.
- Experience with large datasets and data repositories. Additional experience working with building/asset management software systems or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients; highly organized; attentive to detail; professional and courteous demeanor; proven organizational, planning, facilitation, customer service and management skills.
