Experiences:

  • Minimum of 1+ year experience in engineering preferably in energy/GHG reduction projects and or energy management systems
  • Cross functional experience
  • Operational excellence/continuous improvement experience
  • Record of implemented projects, preferably in energy/GHG reduction

Additional Qualifications:

  • University Degree, MSc or BSc degree in an engineering (or related) discipline or the proven ability to operate at that level
  • Process knowledge of oilseeds processing or similar
  • Proven success in CapEx-project implementation
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • ISO 50001 knowledge advantageous
  • EU-ETS knowledge advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement energy and GHG saving opportunities
  • Calculate, monitor and report current energy consumption costs and KPI’s, the potential savings as well as implementation costs of upcoming projects.
  • Prepare Capex documents for energy/GHG saving initiatives
  • Execution of energy/GHG saving initiatives (e.g. process parameter optimization, insulation or heat recovery projects, heat exchanger upgrades etc.)
  • Identification and implementation of operational improvements (e.g. heat exchanger monitoring, process parameter monitoring and optimization etc.)
  • Coordination of 3rd contractors for project implementation (inspection regarding safety standards and technical execution)
  • Develop, drive & coordinate strategy to switch to renewable energy alternative fuels (e.g. hydrogen, biogas, solar, wind, geothermal etc).
  • Actively participate in the site’s safety and continuous improvement programs
  • Participate and lead continuous improvement energy audits
  • Communication with external and governmental bodies (e.g. energy auditors, energy or GHG reporting, grant and subsidies bodies or consultants etc.)
  • Support GHG management system to ensure compliance with the EU legislation
  • Comply responsibly with current and relevant industry standards and regulations.
