Description:

We’re currently recruiting for an Enforcement Case Coordinator to join our team to create safe communities, working closely with customers, colleagues and key stakeholders, to encourage compliance with tenancy terms and conditions including nuisance and anti-social behaviour, through a broad range of support, prevention and appropriate enforcement action to deal with all breaches of tenancy occurring within our properties and communities. You’ll lead the response on serious or complex cases.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Investigate reports of hate crimes, domestic abuse and issues impacting community unity, managing and effective resolution of complex cases.
  • Instigate all court action, as the first stage of legal proceedings in ex-parte injunctions, full injunctions and possession proceedings, self-representing at court in all cases unless there is a requirement for legal representation to attend.
  • In hearings and pleadings where legal representation is required, you’ll liaise with and assist any solicitors and other legal experts to ensure that all relevant paperwork and documentation is prepared for court and other hearings.
  • Represent the Group at liaison meetings, including Multi Agency meetings, with partner Housing Associations, Police and other external stakeholders.
  • Visit victims, perpetrators and witnesses in cases of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and harassment, to ensure that evidence is collected, and witness statements taken where applicable to aid with the preparation of legal cases.

We are looking for an individual with the following:

  • Experience of working in Housing or a Housing Service i.e. enforcement.
  • Data analysis experience with the ability to report on findings.
  • Experience of working with external agencies would be advantageous.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to empathise with customers, dealing with sensitive and difficult situations.
  • Flexibly working approach with the ability to work evenings and weekends where necessary.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
