BACKGROUND:
SWGfL is a not-for-profit charity ensuring everyone can benefit from technology free from harm. Forming 1/3 of the UK Safer Internet Centre, our experts advise schools, public bodies and industry on appropriate actions to take regarding safeguarding and advancing positive online safety policies.
SWGfL has been at the forefront of online safety for the past two decades, delivering engaging presentations and training to a wide variety of audiences nationally and internationally. Our work has brought online safety to the forefront of public attention, ensuring everyone can develop their understanding of what online safety truly means in an ever-changing world.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engagement and Partnerships Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting our Head of Engagement and Partnerships, organising events, and managing donations from our valued partners. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team to further enhance the work of the Partnerships Department. They must have a keen attention to detail and a passion for working in the charitable sector. Additionally, they should be articulate, confident, and professional in their communications, ensuring we deliver a highly professional and effective service.
Responsibilities:
JOB ROLE:
The Engagement and Partnerships Assistant will work closely with the Head of Engagement and Partnerships, internal teams (including communications, finance, and operations), and external partnering teams to execute events.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partnership Support: Provide operational and administrative support to the Head of Engagements and Partnerships.
· Support the onboarding experience for new partners and assist with making new connections.
· Assist in maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing partners.
· Research, help identify, and engage potential new partners based on business needs.
· Communicate effectively with partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
· Maintain and continue to develop the list of partners with new information received within the CRM.
· Perform regular audits of CRM data to identify issues, inaccuracies, or duplicates. Collaborate with the Web team to resolve these issues and perform data cleansing tasks to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data.
· Assist in running reports and generating data extracts from the CRM as needed to support partnership activities or reporting requirements.
· Organise and electronically file partnership documents, such as agreements and proposals, into their corresponding folders.
· Contribute to the development of partnership strategies and goals.
· Organise and attend Partnerships meetings. - Event Management: Take part in the planning, organising, and execution of up to 3 events annually, which will include our annual Online Safety Day, NCII Annual Summit, awareness and Celebratory events.
· Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure all aspects of the event are covered. Include event concepts that align with the organisation’s mission and goals.
· Coordinate with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure all event logistics are handled smoothly.
· Manage event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and on-site support.
· Coordinate with volunteers, sponsors, and partners to ensure successful event execution.
· Collaborate with the communications team to promote events through various channels and ensure high attendance.
· Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
· Collect and analyse feedback from attendees to improve future events.
· Report on event outcomes and impact to the organisation’s leadership, sponsors, and donors.
