JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:
The Engagement & Training Coordinator works in our Human Resources department, assisting with engagement and training throughout the organization. The Engagement & Training Coordinator is self-motivated and possesses the initiative to assist the delivery of comprehensive Team Member engagement, health/wellness programs, volunteer programs, and training department support.
The Engagement & Training Coordinator works collaboratively on a variety of people development initiatives aimed at creating an environment where our people can do their best work. The primary responsibilities include supporting the Engagement & Training Manager and Engagement & Training Specialist in all engagement and training related activities and tasks.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and self-image.
3. Support Engagement & Training Specialist and Manager to identify opportunities to recognize Team Members, facilitate teamwork, increase Team Member engagement, and enhance programs.
4. Support Engagement & Training Specialist and Manager to coordinate and implement corporate events, Team Member Wellness Program events, volunteer days and corporate community service outreach.
5. Support engagement and participation for all Team Member recognition programs and events as well as internal HR engagement activities. Support the implementation of health and wellness programs that inspire/encourage Team Members to adopt healthy lifestyles
6. Support outreach to local community business partners to provide services externally and internally to all Team Members.
7. Manage the Learning Management System by running/reviewing training certification reports and processing all communications for expired compliance trainings. Maintain and update training schedules within LMS and Training Calendar. Submit tickets to ADP for LMS problems and follow through on ticket until the issue is resolved.
8. Prepare email communication for training class participants; communicate with departments and Team Members on course cancelations or changes to the training schedule.
9. Update training certifications and training database in ADP; follow-up on leadership training schedule and keep training status’ current. Update user guides/manuals for training and systems as approved by the Training Manager. Maintain training records and pull various reports for property management.
10. Update training materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, marketing tools/handouts, tips/tools pages and classroom handouts, as approved by the Engagement & Training Manager.
11. Coordinate and order supplies and materials.
12. Support the Engagement and Training Departments with all administrative needs.
13. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
2. Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to details during changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated problem solving, time management and priority setting skills with strong attention to detail.
3. Experience with event coordination for large groups, including preproduction, client communication, banquet orders, day-of logistics, and post-production.
4. Skilled in leading varied sizes of groups and speaking publicly as needed.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Applications.
6. Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
7. Previous experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
8. Desire for professional development through constructive feedback and the willingness to engage in continuous knowledge and skills improvement and development.
9. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of all Team Member accounts and records.
10. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment with changing priorities. Highly organized and ability to prioritize projects. Problem solving skills and critical thinking necessary.
11. Great people skills, initiative, enthusiasm, and sense of humor desired.
12. Availability to work flexible hours outside of normal shift as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate degree in Human Resources or related field.
2. At least one (1) year of Human Resources and/or training and development experience.
3. Have at least one (1) year of experience with community outreach or working with non-profit organizations.
4. Experience or familiarity with designing, planning, implementing, evaluating, employee programs and/or events.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
2. Ability to sit, walk, and stand for duration of shift.
3. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an office environment; however, work may be performed in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Tasks performed from a sitting or non‐sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
