REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Geodetic, and Architecture.
  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire on and manage consulting Engineering firms to oversee design with end users, production of permit and bid documents, procurement of construction services, oversee construction, move manage, and readily resolve warranty period issues on projects of moderate to more complex scope.
  • Manage budget control, contract negotiation and execution of material procurement. May plan and administer capital improvement projects of varied scope and scale. Review and analyze project cost data and other numeric data.
  • Responsible for successfully completing assigned tasks on time and budget including assisting in the preparation, development, monitoring and maintaining project schedules and resources for capital and renovation projects.
  • Provide field supervision, construction management, contract compliance and client and contractor project coordination.
  • Implement plans and specifications and monitor work progress to ensure compliance with all standards. Review design documents for compliance with building codes, ADA, and OHSA standards. Review daily on-site field operations for compliance with the approved plan.
  • Accomplish acute awareness to safety in the workplace in relation to both design and construction.
  • Assist with development of university standards as required.
