We are recruiting to fill the position below:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Some key responsibilities are but are not limited to the following;
- Oversee the day-to-day construction project.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and other professionals, particularly quantity surveyors and the project manager overall, offering technical guidance and resolving issues on the job
- Direct construction work, conducting surveys, laying out sites, ensuring that technical plans and drawings are followed correctly, managing hired workers, and ensuring that project packages adhere to agreed-upon standards, budgets, and/or timeframe.
- Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Prepare site reports and other paperwork, coordinating with quantity surveyors to purchase and price materials, and verifying compliance with health and safety and sustainability laws and regulations.
- Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
- Compile estimates for technical and material requirements for project development.
- Determine and present estimates of operational costs.
- Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes.
- Evaluate operations and processes.
- Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency.
- Implement improvements to designs and processes.
- Test material and structural integrity.
- Research the environmental impact of projects.
- Prepare proposal documents and presentation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities.
