Engineer (Changi Naval Base)

Location : Changi Naval Base
Transport : Shuttle service to and from Changi Naval Base at Simei (AM) and Tanah Merah (PM) MRT

Scope of Work :

• Perform maintenance tasks onboard vessels (mainly in harbour)
• Perform maintenance works onboard vessels in shipyard occasionally
• Perform maintenance works at workshop
• Perform defect troubleshoot onboard vessels’ systems
• Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems
• Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies
• Being physically fit and ready to work outdoors and sail occasionally for a period of 1 week
• Being flexible to work onboard while sailing or overseas if needed.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:

• NITEC or Diploma in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
• RSN maintenance training certifications would be considered

Experience: (would be advantageous)

• Working knowledge and experience working onboard commercial and military vessels on underwater, mechanical / electronics / electrical systems
• Working knowledge and experience on computer software (words, excel)
• Understanding maintenance regime and basic experience in troubleshooting systems till card level.
• Training would be provided if necessary.
