OVERVIEW

We are the team that provides the metrics and analytical products that drive change in DevOps practices across the bank. We provide the key measures that track performance and capabilities of our engineering teams across the world, and the critical insights and intelligence that leadership teams rely on to shape and deliver strategic change.
We drive DevOps transformation through our Data, Analytics & Practices, and we’re looking for experienced devops engineers to join our team in the next stage of our evolution.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of working and leading in product-orientated teams
  • Experience working and leading in a DevOps environment, i.e. think, build, and run.
  • Experience of implementing improvements in engineering, including DevOps and SRE
  • Experience making trade-off decisions when designing engineering systems and processes.
  • Experience with automating manual processes and overhead, end to end.
  • Experience with data analysis and data modelling.
  • Experience in orchestration and scheduling.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Analytics & Insights team is part of the CTO DevOps Services department, responsible for providing the metrics and analytical products that drive iterative improvement in DevOps practices across the bank. We are looking for a high performing engineer experienced with devops way of working to help us raise the bar in engineering quality, and DevOps practices, owning and driving improvement in products and services. The successful candidate will join this multi-disciplinary team working to drive strategic DevOps outcomes through our products, and through collaboration with other teams across the group on theirs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This Role involves:

  • Responsibility for improving our products and services - design, development, testing, coding, and deploying to production.
  • Raising the bar on engineering practices within the team, and measurably improving our products in line with their key results
  • Collaborating with our Security (cyber) teams to advance security and compliance aspects in a ‘shift left’ approach in our products and services.
  • Collaborating with the DevOps insights team to drive the outcomes of the group DevSecOps Strategy
  • Evangelising and promoting DevOps ways of working, the why behind the groups DevOps strategy, collaborating on and showcasing successful execution.
  • Focus on quality, time and budget constraints.
  • Communicating efficiently within the team and business stakeholders
  • Working in an Agile product-oriented culture
